Welcome to Elephant country
NidiKumba is in the Dry zone of Sri Lanka, therefore is exposed to annual drought, relieved by the southwestern monsoon rains. The elevation at Nidikumba is 91 metres (299 ft) and is surrounded by Lunugamvehera Forests Park and Udawalawa Elephant Park.
Mean annual temperature is 30 °C (86 °F).
Nidikumba is rich in fauna and flora, what you might come across is anybody's guess.
Its dry zone forests and elephant country. Geckos on the walls is not a rare sight. From lizards, iguana, monkeys, peacocks, buffalo, butterflies, birds are all around.
